Diatomaceous earth for Bonsai soil?

It is not really earth or soil. It's made from small shells of diatoms. If it's equivalent to Akadama, there should be no harm in using it, since some trees grow in fissure of rocks. Bonsai trees are an art. Good luck with your hobby.
