Why are almost all winter boots in the malls so damn ugly? CHALLENGE: find me a great pair of boots! :)?

The ones I'm wearing, although I can't find you a pic b/c they're a couple years old and not sold any longer. They're Calvin Klein black leather pointy-toed, thin heels (but not stiletto thin) with a buckle on the side. They started at $198 but I got them during an after xmas sale for $120
