Why does Mazda Service have a bad reputation?

The Mazda series of cars and trucks are great products. Is the Corporate Culture undermining the Service Departments. I have read over and over again, from Michigan, Ohio, Canada to the Southwest part of the US, every body itches and moans about Mazda Service. I personally would recommend a Mazda car/truck to someone, but I would not feel comfortable in recommending to them to get their car serviced at the dealership. And I certainly would not feel they are in good hands with the Mazda Warranty Department; I believe it is based in Irvine, California. From my own personal experience I was left un-impressed to say the least.
