Reporting child abuse?

I own a home child care. I love my job and the kids. I had to call DHS last week because a child told me that her moms boyfriend had thrown her into a wall. Well to come find out the child had made it up because she was mad her mom and dad no longer lived togeather. The mom called me VERY angry and told me she was going to sue me because i made a false report. I told her that i have an obligation to make the call ( the state requires that we all take a mandatory child abuse reporting cl and that we do call DHS if we hear or suspect ANY kind of child abuse) The mom says she does not care and also said to me "i am going to make sure your other daycare parents know all about you" I know i did the right thing, but i am still so sick to my stomach. I do not know what to do!
