I am 34 weeks pregnant and baby is breech position, any advice on helping the baby flip over.?

I tried all kinds of methods and nothing worked for me. My doctor wasn't willing to turn the baby manually because he says it's really hard on the mother and the baby doesn't always stay and that if there is a reason the baby hasn't turned like perhaps his cord is too short then it will cause the baby distress and you'd have to do an emergency cesarean anyway. He had me take another ultra sound the day before my due date to see if baby turned himself and he didn't so scheduled section was the next morning on my due date. I just tell people that my son was so in love with my voice that he just couldn't turn his attention away from me. He wanted to keep close.
