How to debug error while installing Adobe Flash Activex ?

Hi guys I have been trying to install the Adobe Flash Player in the windows xp.When I install from the adobe.com the process does not go up to the end. I have tried to download through other facilities and install, but when I doubleclick to install the file "flashplayer10_install_activex_091508" i get the following error messege " failure to install. for troubleshooting tips, please see http/:......tn19166".The download box behind this shows " Registering : c\windows\system32\macromed\flash\flash1… what can be the probem? what do I do?. Even I uninstalled the older version of flash before installing.I manually checked the content of c:/windows/system32/macromedia/flash/. There I can see only install.txt file. no other flash related files. Please help me.
