Why does music from the 60s and 70s seem way more imaginative, creative, and freer than music now?

Like if you listen to Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" and then just about any song from 2011, White Rabbit seems like a $50 steak compared to a song from now which seems like a $4 McDonalds hamburger...lol
